[Fontforge-devel] Fontforge font table and ttf index

First of all, congratulations for a great program.
Seems that fontforge reorder the glyph it reads from ttf font file,
then saved to it's own font file. I think it is because fontforge
support more then just ttf, thus it needs to do some reordering.
However, since I mostly work with ttf file, my question is, is it
possible to keep the glyph in it's original ttf index if fontforge
font file? The reason is as because of the following situation:
I find that Fontcreator program is the easiest way to edit TTF font,
and it has most of the features to edit ttf files, except for hinting
and embeding bitmap info. The problem is, I use VOLT for editing
opentype tables, and use Font Creator program when I required to add a
glyph (not assign a unicode value, don't know how to do it in FF).
However, if I open it using fontforge and start adding bitmap
information then regenerate the font file, I can't use VOLT previous
project since the glyph index is not the same anymore.
Appreciate if you can consider this request.

Element->Font Info->Reencode
set the encoding to Original and glyphs will be ordered by GID.
